Role Overview:

We are hiring a Origination Senior Associate – Sponsor & Investment Banking Coverage to expand Leonid’s relationships with venture capital firms, private equity sponsors, and investment banks. This is a client-facing origination role for someone who wants to own their coverage area and become a trusted partner to sponsors and bankers. The position reports directly to the VP of Originations, with high visibility into firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with venture capital, private equity, and investment banking professionals.
• Position Leonid as a trusted senior secured credit partner for sponsor-backed financings and growth opportunities.
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline of sponsor/IB coverage activity and track deal conversions.
• Represent Leonid at sponsor and banker meetings, conferences, and dealmaking forums.
• Partner with the investment team to ensure seamless execution of sponsor- and banker-driven opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or sponsor coverage.
• Strong financial and relationship management abilities; able to thrive in transaction-oriented environments.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and motivated to own sponsor/IB coverage and deliver measurable results.
• Passion for supporting companies advancing U.S. National Security.
